Although repotting orchids isn’t a terribly difficult task to complete, it can be a very different experience from repotting other types of plants. But, don’t put off your repotting – this is a crucial part of orchid care. An orchid that stays in the same pot for too long will eventually die, and until it does it will flower only sporadically.

When you fertilize your orchids it is far worse to use to much orchid fertilizer than not enough. Orchids do not require as much fertilizer as do most plants. Your orchids can live just as well without any added nutrients. But if you feed them the right amount of orchid fertilizer then your orchid will grow stronger and have more brilliant flowers.
